Teaching Youth to Do Their Best

Cub Scouting is for all youth, male and female, from kindergarten up to age 11 or 5th grade. The program aims to keep youth with peers around their own age and grade level for primary functions while encouraging them to work and play with scouts of other ages at the larger pack meetings.

A Program to Build Leaders

While many people see scouting as a whole as an outdoor adventure program, it really is a leadership and skills development program set in an outdoor environment.

Watch your scout learn confidence

Be there as your Scout learns a skill, practices it and conquers it.

Celebrate new skills

Watch the enjoyment on your Scouts face as they receive badges and awards for their accomplishments.

Laugh hard with your Scout

No matter if your scout is a budding actor or musician or not share the joy with them as they perform skits, songs and activities.

Outdoor Skills

Experience the outdoors with your Scout, hiking, biking, swimming, and camping.

Not into camping, no problem

Not every Scout wants to camp every month, there are plenty of other activities that will enrich them like Space Exploration, Radio, and even computer programming.

Worried about your own skills?

Scouting America offers many opportunities for adults to take classes to further their knowledge and skills in the program.

“A week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room.”

Robert Baden-Powell
